Social and employment policies are a guarantee for solidarity in our societies. The final aim is that all social groups receive a fair share of the common wealth. These policies also make sure that opportunities are offered to those who do need more help than others.

Within the education and social sector, regional, national and European elements are interconnected.  Europe does not substitute local policies; rather, it is meant to complete local initiatives and activities. This includes the cross-border exchange of people and ideas and the joint work of international teams on new projects to overcome boundaries that limit free movement within Europe.
